lyrics
These footprints pave a track that knows no turning back ever again.
Nothing is limitless. Nothing is infinite. There is an end.
I wish you could see the world
Some more miles down the road,
Probably forty years from now
With the winds we´ve sown.
I wish you could see the world,
`Cause with us to come undone
There is no world to come,
There is no world to come.
Water runs from snow and won´t make amends.
And a heavy silence lies upon the land.
And all the guiltless lungs of our unborn sons deserve a better fate.
And they can only dream of what could have been cause then it´s gone without a trace.
We can raise the stakes ´til the causeway breaks!
Nothing is limitless. Nothing is infinite. Please understand.
I wish you could see the world
Some more miles down the road
Probably forty years from now
With the winds we´ve sown
I wish you could see the world
`Cause with us to come undone
There is no world to come,
There is no world to come.
Oh, what a splendid legacy that we pass on so recklessly.
When wastelands take the trees and the weather claims the seas,
What a time to be alive! What a time to be alive!
Yeah, I do fear that this won´t be a place to raise our kids.
Something you can´t create is gone…
Something you can´t create is gone once it is erased.
No world to come.
(There) No world to come
(Is) No world to come.
There´s no world to come.

This one really goes deep. Tremendously heavy and bleak, yet crushingly groovy as well. You can easily see these guys destroying any venue they'd hit live with this. The heavy hitting slow to mid-tempo tunes are sort of tranceinducing. It's very easy to listen to it multiple times in a row or even get lost in it totally. mourner

I generally appreciate the album by album move away from hardcore towards extreme metal. Yet for me personally, this is where the balance is perfect. Kind of like Metallica's Ride the Lightning: subsequent albums were more sophisticated and complex, yet less intense, too. Great to come back to, again and again. jornfin
Dead Cross, Retox, and Qui members dish out subversive hardcore with an indignant smirk; come for the riffs, stay for the synth experiments. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 31, 2024

It's hard to describe why I love this album so much. It's just perfect in every way. Every track is so spectacular, but Knives and it's build up to that spectacular heavy part just takes the cake. Fantastic album from a fantastic band that needs to get back together. whatwasallthisfor
